Questions about the Intel Burrage DP67BG

Thread Starter
I can get a discount on this board and im trying to figure out if there are any reasons aside from the UEFI Bios not to get this board over the ASUS Sabertooth or Maximus IV.

Any thoughts or advice would be appreicated.
Thanks,
-BB

So it looks like you have this board now, according to your sig. How do you like it? I just ordered one today and should have it by the end of the week. Can't wait!

I bought the DP67BG comming from Asus P7P55D i was skeptical going for Intel, but i thought they have had the bios for SB the longest time and to my surprise its overclock friendly, stable, and no problem whatsoever, i have been reading around the net for max temp on I5 2500K and not finding anything conclusiv, so i got one suprise in the bios, cpu max fan speed is when the cpu is 85 degrees celsius at intels stock settings..

I too got the DP67BG along with i5-2500k. What overclock settings are you using? I'd like to take up to 4.0Ghz on stock fan/heatsink - possible?

I am getting this board in a couple of days. Can't wait! Here's a link to the Intel support page for the DP67BG: LINK

Download the PerfTuningGuide01.pdf. It's the first download listed. It is VERY detailed and tells you exactly how to overclock the K series processors using the DP67BG.

I am very impressed that Intel has so many detailed manuals and tech information listed on the website for the DP67BG. I have an ASUS Crosshair (current system in my sig) and Intel completely trumps ASUS in regards to documentation. I have never seen a detailed overclocking guide from ASUS for any of their motherboards..ever! Intel FTW!

Should be very possible, you could probably do it with stock volts.

I have this board running with an i7-2600 and havn't had a single problem with it. Very nicely built, excellent layout. I don't really overclock so can't speak on that subject but based on all the reported problems with Asus boards the DP67BG flies under the radar as a hellova good board.
