What purpose does this even serve? It's like having a giant red self-destruct button on the dashboard of your car.

I thought the diagram that was posted was pretty clear on it's purpose.

I thought all screeds were self-indulgent? Why are her's more so than any of the other screeds littered throught OCN?

She is terrible, yes. A Temptress? Perhaps. But to humanize her? It is with this that I must take issue sir. For all of the enlightened know that she has no soul. She is not human, she takes human form to tempt the unworthy.

We also know that she has a master of her own, of that we must never forget!

Balla either works for Intel or the MPAA.

Because for one, people are concerned they can't steal everything from a OS to Blu-Ray which is both sad and has to be a ToS violation of some kind.

Secondly people have no idea what they're talking about and are fear mongering over something that doesn't even affect anything outside of a service that never existed until SB.

As a thought for the rest of you - stop stealing things. Seriously. DRM is needed because people steal, people don't get paid, people can't provide for their families because you steal from them.

Stealing software and other things is theft. End of story, it's not cool, and it's not right. Stop doing it - stop caring about DRM.

A ToS violation?? Please!

As soon as you stop your boring, boring, boring sanctimony. Why lecture? You are not going to change anyone's mind, and don't marginalize people, half this community download movies and games.

I have been in and out of the scene for years dude, my first internet browser was a telnet window, and if I would have PAID for every game or program I have downloadaded and checked out I would say some of those companies would have stolen from ME for releasing a crap product, and I am glad I did not waste 30 or 40 or 50 dollars on something that sucks.

If it's a good product, that I like THEN i'll buy it, as the stack of games and software I have will attest to. If it sucks I'll delete it.

I consider paying for crap "theft" too.. worse, theft of MY money, which, sorry dude, but I care a lot more about that, because I'm selfish like that.

There are counters to everything you said, like DEMOS.

Either way it doesn't really matter. When I'm running my pirated windows os 7, playing my stolen games, watching my stolen movies, listening to my stolen music I'll be the last one laughing.

I always go legit with the stuff I like and use.. Sorry about going off on you like that, it was a little heavy. I am getting annoyed that my CPU fan won't go up to 2000 rpm, plus I smoke a lot, and am pretty busy in the .torrent and warez scene and have been since starting out as a courier in RISC back in the pre-WWW Internet. So I have a point of view on this.

Let's just say OCN, nor you and I are not going to solve the piracy issue today.
