You can only buy 1 CPU per person at Microcenter.

I used to work at Microcenter...they sell CPUs at a loss because they want people to buy the mobo, RAM, and other parts there...

If you plan to OC, which if you are buying a K series CPU you should be, then hyper-threading was more of a limiting factor to how much of an OC you could get anyway. Most people would turn it off to increase their frequency.

On topic though, I kind of feel bad walking in there and JUST buying the CPU and leaving. It is the people like me who can and will go in there just to buy it because it is so much cheaper compared to everyone else that make them regret that market strategy. But hey... they don't MAKE you buy the other components there, they just want you to. Kind of like it is nice to hold the door open for someone, but people often do not.

most of the things at microcenter can be found cheaper online.. it's only their CPU's that make it worth the drive
