Force A Resolution?

Hey guys!
Im playing Toy Story 3 (just for the heck of it) and the highest resolution setting is 1600*1900? im not sure. My question is would it be possible to force 1360*768? Im gaming on a 28" TV. What file could i edit? Could i force it via drivers or software?

your in the wrong section but no you cannot rly force games to certian resolutions but if its to high there is always an option to make the resolution lower.. but why you loss alot of the nice looking graphics that way

You already got an answer. See above ^^^^

You'd have to edit the game files, registry files, or customize the settings files. Any of those options would work.

the games are not designed to work in custom resolutions.....

Since this is in programming section I'll give you a programming answer.
Write a program that changes the display resolution to whatever you want and keeps it at that resolution. Keep it running in the background and run your game.

The game itself wouldn't run at that res though but windows would display it as such, much in the same way as displaying an image stretched, it may also just display black borders.
Or if you run the game at a higher resolution and change to lower you will not get the full screen as the game would still be rendering more than the view.
