I'm all for rooting. Why? Well. Not to mention my Windows Mobile days where I diddled with other ROM's etc. But that's why I do it. To get the junk that wireless carriers throw on your phone. No one uses the crap anyways and takes up space. Not to mention you can customize it to make the phone more yours.
