I have the stock AMD heatsink/fan on my AMD 8750 BE. I cools just fine, but the fan on it is STUPID loud. When the chip is under load the fan will ramp up to 6000 rpm! It is the loudest computer fan I have ever heard. I'd like to get a different heatsink/fan that isn't as loud that cools maybe a little better. What do you suggest? BTW, I've attached a pic of the heatsink/fan I have (this is not the actual thing, but it is just like this).
...
And?
Its one of, it not the best cooler I am aware of for under $40.
Its $30. If you just want to get a quiet cooler you can buy a different fan or pick up one of the ~$15 coolers.
well if you want quiet, I would suggest saving up 60 bucks for a Noctua Those things are supposed to be dead silent..
or u can try the 212 which is half the price
I would get Noctua. Like Dorianime said, they are super silent and runs extremely cool. My 4.00 GHz Phenom II idles at 35 and at 100% stress it's about 59-62 degrees. They are a bit more expensive but I would say they are definitely worth the price tag.
That one is not bad as well, my roommate uses that one.
