What does it actually do? I'm using 1900x1200 screen reso. Does it cut that in half? Save HD space? I want sharpest vids possible should I leave that at full?

Now to figure out a program that will compress and make these look good on youtube. Every free program I've tried makes the videos look horrible frown.gif
Help me here out!
If your going to make youtube videos keep the fps at 30 and cut the res down to 1280x720 since youtube quality decreases anything you will upload. Doing all of this will save you hard drive space as well.

For program for editing use sony vegas or just for converting try something that utilizes your gpu.

I might try this out as well. Sounds interesting. Does this work with an i7 and windows 7? How exactly do I connect 2nd computer/monitor to this setup? I would need 2nd monitor plugged into both systems right? then HDMI from video card on 1st pc to the blackmagic on 2nd pc? Not sure on the Monitor part and how that works.

You could leave it at 60fps and you could cut it in half. However my experience with that feature is that the colours blend into each other redface.gif That might be fixed by now, I'm not sure.

If say... 45fps is playable you can also try that to record your video. And half size. Since youtube lowers the quality when you upload your video anyway. (Half size, just cuts the res in half smile.gif) Which, needless to say, saves a lot of HDD space.
