Need helping Picking a Card

Thread Starter
I've seen this question pop up a fair bit around the internet and this forum, But i havent really found an answer that suits my needs excatly.

I am looking to upgrade my Graphics, Im not too bothred by ATi or Nividia, Either brand will do for me. I've narrowed my search down to two cards.

Powercooler 5850 1GB - $205
Inno3D GTX 460 1GB - $183

I am more leaning towards the Nividia for the simply fact its cheaper and I havent heard one bad thing about it.

I don't want to start a flame war between nivida and Ati Lovers, just looking for some Advice

I would go with the 5850 or 6850. They beat out the 460 and probably produce less heat a use less power.

Well I have heard numerous people say you could overclock the 5850 to 5870 specs. It always depends on brand and luck of the draw. I dont overclock my GPU's. Not anymore. No need to.

The 460 is an overclocking monster, that said I don't much about the 5850 but I figured I would offer my half.

From what I read the 400 series produce alot of heat and noise. But I guess it depends on who you ask. The 500 series took a leap at better noise and heat production.
