Am I at my chip's limit? - Page 2

Ah okay, thought it helped stabilize higher NB frequencies. I'll turn it back down.
Trust me, I'm not complaining..I love my system but I'd like to squeeze out all I can and seeing as I have a decent amount of play with the temp left, I'd like to get it higher.
Also, I'll run Linx tomorrow, but I've read that OCCT is a great tester.

I got a hard cap on my 1090T just below 4.5GHz were I couldn't stabilize it regardless of how many extra volts I threw at it.

My 965 got there at just under 4.4Ghz.

My 555 hit it at around 4.2Ghz - but I was on air with that one

You should try to kick your cpunb up to 3000 at least, try for 3200+ though.

Edit: It's not really the "limit".

If you put it under dice or ln2, you'd get higher clocks with the same amount of voltage... Its more the limit of your cooling capabilities than chip limit

Alright, looks like I'll just stick with 4.3 and work on my ram timings and my NB frequency.
