Hey guys quick question. When I plug something into my front panel like an iPod the computer shuts down and then will not boot up till I unplug the device. Any ideas why this is happening?

I'm guessing the front panel is shorting when you plug something in.

Does it do the same when you plug the iPod into the back of the motherboard?

Are you sure your connectors are connected the correct way on the motherboard? If you plug the device into the back of the motherboard does it still cause it to reboot there also?

hey thanks for the relies. It doesn't shut off when plugged into the back. but the weird thing is that I used the front panel while installing windows. My iPod had the RAID drivers on it and it was fine then. I re-installed windows about 2 days ago.

I tried to think of a better way to word this but I can't so here goes. Mine shut off like that only 1 time. I was using my finger to find the hole and then plug the USB in and I think my finger shorted it. Told you it sounded bad. Is that what you were doing or something totally unrelated?
