GT5 Special Events: Rally

Thread Starter
I've gotten through Beginner and Intermediate fairly easily. But now on Expert I'm struggling mightily. Of the required cars I have 4 or 5 of them and so far I have failed with 3 of them, the other two I know won't cut it. Has anyone done this and if yes with what car because I need to win.

I don't have a single car to run that with. Just started a week ago and still trying to get money to buy the cars required for the season events.

Sorry about this post being not what you were looking for.

Not a problem. If you haven't already, Do the Kart races. They will give you tons of money in the beginning which is a big help, especially if you had to buy a crappy beginners car.

Bravo, if I remember correctly the Expert race is 349HP right? I believe I used a Subaru WRX on it.

It REALLY helps to have AWD on the events.

4 wheel drive is a life saver. Rear drive cars just snake around like a bad boy if they are too powerful. I used an Imprezza WRX from the car lot.

if you can do the sebastian loeb challenges, and get gold on those, you'll get his Red Bull Citroen C4 2008... which is what I used...

turn off traction control if you haven't already, that makes all the difference in the rally races. I had a 45sec gap built up by the end of the expert rally.

Driving aids in rally just make you so much slower. I found the road rally a fair bit harder because you can rarely see the corner apex. I used an Opera 350Z.

In the expert series they give you a list of cars that you can use...sadly it's not like the others. But I did follow forty2skates advice about traction control. Instead of off completely I turned it to 1 and I'm fairing much better in my Lancer Evo Rally Car. I suggest getting when you see it, you'll complete these challenges like cake..well most anyway.
