do you need the extra speed?
if you dont, and your ddr2 ram is ok, and the chip is ok, then a cheap and decent 775 mobo is pretty good

You should my comment again and then apply your own theory. But lets stay on topic please.

My C2Q chugs along, no complaints here. I think it'll be a long time though before they settle on a socket again.. The estimated pricing of SB is what makes this more difficult, SB is pretty inexpensive in comparison.

RAM - 4 GB $50, 8 GB $100
I like what I'm seeing here, I'm thinking

2500K 179.99 - 249.99
P8P67 DELUXE $239.99 - $259.99 or WS Revolution $259 MSRP
2x4GB 1866 Vengeance or Ripjaws X..

I'd like it, we just got a new ISP.. GPON FTTP 100Mbps. I'm averaging 90Mbps on usenet with 30 connections. Needless to say there will be lots of *.PAR and *.RAR files in my future.

I think that is the direction I'm leaning. I see from you updated sig rig you are making the jump as well. Any advice on a SB configuration?
