hey, I'm getting 2 of this coolers, so they are 100% compatible with the 6870? and what about the VRM solution?? is better to put the VRM heatsink that Accelero gives, or to put the original plate of the card used to cool the VRM and RAM??? Thanks

no one tried that cooler on a 6870? I'm concerned about the Vrm heatspreads and the their cooling potential.

The Arctic Cooling Accelero Twin Turbo Pro, I would think that it would bolt straight on it has the 5870 as compatible so the 6870 wouldn't be too much different but for the mosfets. The 5870 had more the 6870 has less and only a single line of them.

But I recommend that you use this "Arctic Cooling Accelero XTREME 5870" which has the cut out there already for the stacked DVI ports. Also it cools better.

The 6870's gpu is moved over to the right a bit more than the 5870 and then the only thing you have to trim up is the mosfet heatsink.

on the AC pages they say that the Twin turbo fit the 6870
http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/cooling/vga/22/accelero-twin-turbo-pro.html?c=2182

so i think there is no issue with the DVI port, or is it?

trying to get that too for my current 4870 crossfire setup. will upgrade to 6870s once the prices go down but i'd need a long term investment.
