I have seen tons of reviews as I am sure everyone else has by now ... For me this seems like a great new upgrade for me since I mostly play games and dont need an extreme OC. SB seems to be as good if not better than most I7 chips out there so the upgrade makes sense to me since it will be my last one for a long long time ...

I found this OCing guide for sandy HERE and makes me wonder. All the reviews I have seen have shown the SB at 5+ GHZ ... I am wondering if this would be attainable on every SB chip for 24/7 use or is this just a nice max OC where they just get a lucky screen shot in ...

I am hoping for at least 4.7 for 24/7 if not higher. Hopefully I can get 5 or 5+ because that would be amazing ... and well I can tell all my friends to suck it with their I7 920 OC's lol

Best is to take a wait and see approach, safe voltages, safe temperatures etc have not yet been established and will likely determine what will ultimately be a safe 24/7 overclock.

5GHz safe is probably not going to be possible. Not for 24/7.

well ... I dont consider 5GHz extreme with this chip since it is limited to a little over 5+ and everyone is hitting it on air ...

Asus P8P67 Deluxe Motherboard Review @ Clunk.org.uk

Apparently not all ES chips (Engineering Samples) could overclock to 5GHz or better, so Clunk.org.uk at least is going to retest this board when the commercial chips reach the market.

Might not be as good, or might have the same sort of variability. Certainly different in the bios and for overclocking.
