Oh lawd, the G500 is gross ugly.
Deathadder is the way to go. Trust me, I'm a doctor.

just went & picked up a deathadder. i don't see any difference between this & a cheap office mouse...except i had to slow it down in control panel. is there an advantage to using a gaming mouse? or am i missing something? or doing something wrong?

tracking fast movements, lift off, etc. There are some benefits, though many lie within the sensor itself and will be otherwise unnoticed.

I'm kind of a Microsoft fan on mice. My logitech laser mouse lasted 1yr, a cheap thrust notebook mouse lasted 1 week and my trusty MS explorer mouse lasted 8 years biggrin.gif but has no compatibility with Win7. I got myself the MS sidewinder now. It's great and I'm loving the metal scroll-wheel biggrin.gif.

Not without opening it up and replacing the LED with a red one.

The whole point of a gaming mouse i better tracking and more DPI, allowing you to essentially cover more screen area with less physical movement.
