necro much.

file server 24/7
sig rig is 24/7 on weekends or whenever i have days off.
Sig rig and ThinkPad get turned off when I'm not using them.

Work/folding system, second folding rig at work, audio server, fw/router all stay on 24/7.

24/7 means 24/7. "24/7 when I have a day off" doesn't make any sense.

Omnomnom energy bill.

I turn them off when I'm not using them and nothing is scheduled.

No reason to waste power no matter how little it is... I also turn off lights and other electronics when I don't need them.

27/7 pretty much, maybe a reboot every week or so to apply some (driver) updates here and there.

Thread Starter
I also used to leave my Pentium 3 laptop on 24/7 and set for the hard drive to never turn off for fear of the ancient hard drive not spinning up again
