Hi, im building a media centre and here are my specs

MOBO: AsRock 880GM-LE http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157199
CPU: AMD Athlon II x2 245 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-687-_-Product
RAM: 4GB DDR3 1333 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231190
HDD : WD green 1TB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-490-_-Product
Network Card: Tp-Link WN781ND http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-059-_-Product

ive found this case (not this exact one, just the case) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-018-_-Product

with this power supply apparently 150W FSP150-50GLT PSU does anyone know if this will run this system? it must be a generic PSU

Edit: its a miniITX case, nevermind

150w? no way in hell.

Use this.

Yep, no sweat. That rig will consume less than 100W.

*EDIT Reason why I think 150W will be quite enough: one of my rigs consumes 46W w/ 3 Green HDDs, but is powered by an Atom DC and has only one 2GB stick. Suppose a second 2GB stick consumes 5W =>51W (assuming the same PSU efficiency). The only difference between my rig and OP's is his has a 65W CPU, while I have 2 more HDDs. 51W-(2x6W for the HDDs)=39W, so it leaves more than 100W of headroom until the 150W PSU rated power.

@Klinkey: my 2 cents: it's wrong to ask for advice of what PSU to get on the site of the ones that make money on selling high wattage PSUs.

Not if it needs to power keyboard, mouse, motherboard, RAM, wireless card, dvd drive, HDD cpu fan and another fan it wont.

I think it will be fine and it will never be at full load unless you run prime95 & Furmark all day long for fun

This rig will be used only for media streaming/viewing, boxee etc and hooked up to a HDTV through HDMI

Forgot about keyboard and mouse; max USB power delivery is 2.5W, thus keyboard+mouse is at most 5W. On the rig I gave as example I have:
*motherboard + processor
*PCI SATA card
*2GB in 1 stick
*3HDDs
*1 CPU fan
*1 DVD+RW
-no mouse, keyboard

Really there are 4 differences between these rigs:
-2 less disks for the OP
-one keyboard+mouse (+5W tops)
-second RAM stick (+5W)
-CPU + mobo that consume more (mine are 13W)

Simple math:
*my rig consumes 46W
*46-2x6W(HDDs)-13W(mobo+cpu)=21W
*add 10W for keyboard, mouse and second RAM stick and he's still @31W
*I think up to 150W it should be enough of a headroom for the CPU and motherboard

I haven't considered here how bad the efficiency of my PSU really is for running below 20%*PSU rated power, check the blogpost for more details. There are full ATX mobos with quad core 95W CPUs that consume less than 100W at the plug (HDDs, RAM and all the rest included), check any SandyBridge review. Imho there's no way that rig consumes more than 100W.
