iPhone slicker? Lol its uncostimizable icons and you can only change the order of the icons, but they always get stacked the same way. Awesome!

Also, Android transitions run fine, if you watch a video, its because the frame rate of the video, not because of Android, I can run Vanilla Launcher, Samsung Launcher, Launcher Pro, and ADW at the same time and everything is silky smooth.

Anyways, overall look at the facts over the time Apple said it sold 16 million iPhones, if you just use the number of 200k activations a day x 90, that is 18million, but Google says 300k a day and add on Christmas related, and I would say easily 30 million Android phones in Q4 2010.

If we add all the numbers reported by developers we will find out that 1 of 2 people in this world is using a smartphone, which is not true, yet.

On my Captivate (running rooted stock Rogers 2.2 FroYo) I can get get a good two days out of it (example, unplug it from the charger Monday morning 9am, don't have to charge it until Tuesday night before i go to bed bit before midnight). Which is quite good considering the power in the device.

By sold 10 million, that means they sold 10 million to retailers, not actual people.

This means that iphone reports are more accurate, it seems it is very hard to find an iphone, so if they give 25million to retailers it means that 25 million devices are sold for real.

I'm pro Android, and I like samsung, but I don't like stupid marketing techniques.

What exactly do you mean by rooted? I have a new galaxy S and I'm looking around for any cool mods.

For those that have the Galaxy S with lag issues a simple root + Lagfix = as fast as the dual core phones that just came out....

This is why I chose a Galaxy S

S-AMOLED 4" screen
Android
Removable battery
Upgradeable memory

How the heck could you not want this phone.

On stand-by maybe, But when i start using the screen, maybe some games. lasts barely a day. but i heard the other models are much better in battery life.

On another note
I would like to know how to update this phone. I use kies but they dont put updates up. How do i up to 2.3? Whats rooting?

Fyi this is my first phone ever,so i dont know much about them updating wise.

I'd say my galaxy S lasts about 3 days, with moderate screen use. Then again, my battery is in its beginning life stage. There are several life stages of these batteries that you have to be aware of. Beginning is when its new, and lasts the longest. Then the "adult" life where the battery does not last quite as long as when it was new, but its certainly not unacceptable. But then the weird thing happens, cause they seem to have more dying stages than they do good life stages.

Next is the "older" stage, where the battery only lasts about half as long as it used to when it was in its "adult" stage. The older stage can last as long as, or sometimes a little longer, than the "adult" stage. Then comes the dying stage, where it only lasts about 30 minutes. Maybe if you're lucky you'll get an hour or two, perhaps 3. This stage can last a while too, but I'd say probly not as long as the older stage. Then comes yet another stage, when the battery will only work when plugged in. It might last 3 minutes at best when its unplugged. Then the final stage, which is death.

Once its dead you are lucky if you can even use the phone when its plugged in. Many that I have had, you can't. So an outline of the stages:

1. Brand new
2. Adult
3. Older
4. Dying
5. Plugged in only
6. Death/unusable
