Prepping for a new router

Thread Starter
I just ordered a Netgear WNDR3700 to replace a Linksys WRT54gs.

I'm aiming for a smooth transition. Is there anything I need to prepare or buy to get the most out of this new router? So far I plan to uninstall any Linksys related software, if there is any. My setup at the moment is 1 PC wired, and 2 laptops wireless on Rogers cable.

Any advice would help, thanks.

i just bought one and the installation process was fantastic. Simple and everything. If this is your house and you are wanting great performance you might consider rewiring your computer with cat 6, i did my whole house all my computers with cat 5e a couple months ago.

I looked up some Belkin brand cat6 cables and they seem decently priced. And good to know that installations were easy!
