I wouldn't recommend using that PSU with a GTX580 not only are you going to be cutting it short on wattage you are also cutting it short on the 12V Rails.. for reference I looked up an EVGA GTX580 and it requires 42A on the 12V Rail and checking your PSU each of the 3 rails is 19A so even if you used 2 separate rails you are still only at ~38Amps, so I would definitely look into getting a better PSU.

fixed

and he has 42 amps on the 12v rails which is enough since manufacturers overstate power requirements

It probably would work. I don't think your rig is going to be drawing that close to max capacity. These links are all I can find for a review. Not in English but the graphs/tables are still readable.

It doesn't appear to be a very good PSU once you get near its limits.

It's perfectly fine. If I recall correctly Cooler Master's Real Power series were good back in the day so you have nothing to worry about in terms of quality.

To whoever said 42A for a GTX 580, that's totally ridiculous. That may be for the entire system, and even then that's at full load, Prime95+Furmark full load. The most a GTX 580 will ever need is about 25A just for itself running Furmark.

Hey,

the sticker off my PSU says the following:
http://img29.imageshack.us/i/img0026qp.jpg/

The PSU provides 516W + 3*19Ampere at the 12V-'lane'.

Are the 12V-'lanes' only for the GPU, or for the CPU, etc too?

What exactly do the +3,3V ; +5V ; -12V and 5V(SB)?

Now Im even more uncertain Should I get that VGA-Card or not?
My 5870 is a great videacard, but i prefer definitely Nvidia.
Thank you!
Kevin
