A few question about Motherboard cooling

Thread Starter
Hi guys,

I'm interested in watercooling my mobo. I'm currently cooling my xeon with a EK HF Supreme with a Black Ice 360 rad. I was looking at waterblocks for the UD5 I have now, but it seems like one of the fittings would be blocked by the graphics card. I have 3 questions

1. Will the lower fitting on this waterblock for my sig Mobo be blocked by the graphics card?
Link

2. What is an x58 motherboard that has a good third party waterblock? I'm looking for something with usb 3.0 and sata 6.

3. Would watercooling my motherboard be a good idea or bad idea? I dont know that much about the concept.

Answers, or links to threads with the answers would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I really dont think this could hit your gfx card because that copper overhang part will be literally on the mobo and the end of the gfx card would be in the air above it.

the waterblock is compatible with your board it wont it the card, EVGA just released the EVGA eX58 Classified3 for 379$. There isn't much point in WC the motherboard, the Gigabyte EX58-UD5 has great cooling, you wont see much difference in temps even if you overclock, you can do it for the looks if you have some money to waste.
