There's no need for the 4; "-smp" will use all available cores. The issue is you're not getting the right WU.

Go back to "-smp", then tell us the Project Number of the WU you get.

As I said, it doesn't work with -smp either

Go to the .exe you extracted. Delete everything except the .exe and client.cfg. Now remake the shortcut and try again with "-smp".

Can you redownload the client completely, and put it in a new folder. Run it with the -local and -smp flags
