Running two GPU3 clients, constant core error on 2nd card - Page 3

It's not just that, it bypasses the hassle of running through the client configs to make any changes. Want to switch from GPU2 to GPU3? Just check the GPU3 box and hit apply. Want to change teams or user names? Just put in the new team number/user name, hit apply and all your clients are changed at once. You get pop-up boxes for WU failure notifications, all flags are set from simple drop-down menus or check boxes, it has options for stopping clients after WU's are completed, GPU heat control, etc. It's a very impressive program and, if Stanford was on their game, the FAH client would be built like it in the first place.

All of those things can be sorted with a two second shortcut adjustment, or a run through with the -config flag. I'd rather Stanford concentrated on the science, and left the front-end workarounds to other people

Don't get me wrong though, it's a great tool for easily getting more people into folding, and I'm glad someone took the time to develop it

I'll try downloading a fresh client like omega suggested. Does anyone have the console client link?
Glad you got it sorted out. I have noticed running multiple GPU3 rigs that you do not need the -gpu x flag at all. The client will automatically find a GPU to work with.

As for weird GPU numbering that is due to the GPU3 client. In order for me to run GPU2 and GPU3 at the same time I had to use the -GPU flags in the opposite order. So my primary GPU running GPU3 is actually set to -gpu 1 and my second GPU running GPU2 is set to -gpu 0

yeah i had to use the -gpu flags on mine to get it working

-gpu 0 for first slot

-gpu 1 for second

it was in the multi-gpu guide from zodac, which i used to set it up
