personaly i dunno it seems to be the top AMD board that can run SLI and i also heard its an overclocking beast , and i prefer Nvidia to ATI due to better driver support\\physx but if anyone can point me to a decent CF mobo + a so-so budget card that i can CF in future id apriciate it !

Beware the case - looks pretty on the outside, but quite cramped and has almost no cable management features.

Best to get something that allows you to tuck away your cables and fit larger GPU's if you want to allow for upgrading.

Don't skimp on the case, it'll probably stay with you for longer than anything else, and will piss you off more than anything else - at least, that's my current problem.

I would also go with a better motherboard choice and an ATI 6850 - overclocked performance will be just shy of a GTX460 overclocked, but native crossfire support and performance will be the best bang for the buck in the long run. Lack of physx support is a problem (though easily resolved), but the "driver issue" is a myth in all honesty and experience.

Also, the RAM in the combo is average performing - timings are very loose, and I've never been much of a corsair RAM fan. Not a huge problem, but something I would personally try and change.

You can run a SLI hack on amd chipset's. Many people are very successful with this and you could SLI on a 890 chipset very easily.

Have you thought about intel? You may need to shell out a little more for a chip, but it's very worth it in my opinion after coming from amd.

Also used wouldn't be a bad choice either. I have less than 700 in my total system, and my 8800gts's are on par with a 460. Here's my total on everything i purchased used and have not had a problem with

-nzxt lexa s -$45 bucks
-OCZ 500w psu -$50 bucks
-320gb wd blue -$30 bucks
-lg dvd burner -$16 bucks
-asrock x58 extreme -$80 bucks
-core i7 920 -$200 bucks
-gskill 6gb ram -$65 bucks
-2 8800gts's $110
-corsair h50 -$55

Total price = $651. Buying used will get you much better performance and cheaper. My rig would smoke your budget build and it's cheaper.

Give it a thought man, i haven't had one problem buying anything used.

You would be hard pressed to do better than this combo honestly:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboB...t=Combo.549053

*Edit, scratched my build - go for the above combo. It's great value. The motherboard sucks a bit (x16/x4 PCIe lanes, bad cooling, 4pin CPU power, potentially low overclocker) but for everything else this is your best bet.

Take the money you save and buy a 1 or 2 TB 5400rpm Samsung storage HDD, the F2 or F4 drives, and enjoy. This is probably the best pathway.

*Edit again - I'm struggling to suggest the combo due to the motherboard -I can't get over it's lacking features listed above ... could you get the combo AND a different motherboard then sell the combo's motherboard elsewhere to get your money back?

I'd honestly go with that combo deal for $700 he just listed. GREAT combo to get you going, and you wouldn't need to upgrade your CPU for a long time.

I agree.. yes $150 is a good price for a case and a 1TB HHD but I rather have something like the LIAN LI Lancool PC-K62 ($99) if you are looking to use a Mid-Tower and if you like samsung go with the Spinpoint F3 HD502HJ 500GB ($55)... so you loose 500GB, so what, you can buy a second drive later and RAID 0, oh and later you could get an SSD and load ur OS on it to really zip I just dont see the need to have 1TB in your computer to start, shrug just my $0.02
