Done, stopped the test which had done 3 tests on each core for 6 minutes, with no errors.

Starting a custom test now with all default options except the "Time to run each FFT size (in minutes)" has been changed from 15 to 5.

It failed on the first pass. Told me there'd been one hardware error, and to consult stress.txt, which conveniently didn't exist, so I looked in the other .txt files.

Results.txt:
Quote:
[Wed Jan 05 21:19:03 2011]
FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.
FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4

Now I don't actually know what this means, any ideas?

Now performing an identical test and doing fine on the 3rd pass.

It means you either need more voltage or looser timings. Your CPU isn't overclocked is it?

Ah

1024K and 8K tests have both passed this time round, now starting the 10K tests.

1024K... Passed!
8K........ Passed!
10K...... Passed!
896K.... Passed!

Nope, it's at stock, not through lack of trying though - this motherboard doesn't like any higher FSB than this, stupid thing.

I got the same error as before on the 3rd 768K test. Time to bump the voltage to 2.0v I think.

EDIT: That was only on one core though, hmm...

The other cores passed 768K.

Put it on one notch above 2.0V

What Vcore are you using?

Running P95 at 2.05v (one notch = 0.05v).

Vcore is stock, 1.17v or so.

Passed 1024K
Passed 8K
Passed 10K
Passed 896K
Running 768K

If it fails again bump the NB Voltage up two notches and try again.

I wasn't really monitoring the test but it'd been going for at least an hour with no errors. I got a BSOD though, but for some idiotic reason (I was pissed off ) I didn't write down the error code.

Just about to try 2.1v, which will be my max until I get some heatsinks I think. The chips certainly feel warmer, not boiling hot but pretty warm.

before you start testing make sure to raise the NB Voltage by 2 notches
