i5-760 overclocking - Page 2

on the Asus BIOS the VTT is caled IMC. 1.4V IMC worked for me for 4.5, so for 4.0 should be less

I think its your cpu voltages, up the cpu volts and vTT/QPI Voltage up 3 notches. If it goes longer in intelburn before it fails or if it does not fail, congrats and start notching the voltages down individually one at a time til it fails, then go back to the known good voltage. If upping the voltages change nothing you can try raising it more or you have another prob.

Ya, I'm not sure why that can't all call it the same name. On my Asus X58 board the uncore voltage is "QPI/Dram Core Voltage". LOL

Yep IMC Voltage. For 4.0 I need 1.275v some get by with a little less, some take a little more. With that 124 BSOD I'd be bumping up.

I personally think that the CPU voltage should be higher.

Why? He might have to before it's said and done; but why bump it for no reason ?

I got through a HIGH stability test without blue screening! xD

woop. Il try other stability tests now and update you all.

If I did wan't to oc to 4.2 - 4.5, what would I have to put up voltage wise? (Approx)

Update: I got through the MAXIMUM tests. My temps got to 76 though which is starting to get a lil high for my liking =].

But this is worse case scenario though when its on maximum right?

76 is fine as long as you are getting that in a temp program like realtemp, coretemp, or core temps on HWMonitor. Just try to keep it under 80C and yest IBT Max is the warmest you are likely to ever see.
