Well I have to honestly say that there RMA has been just fine. Had no problems at all. The only problem that I have has been that all three of my 5870's have had to be RMA'd for the fan bearings going out.
Not been happy with that cause the replacements have been cards with the fans in the middle and they do not cool as easy. My temps for the cards run about 5-7 degrees hotter on the cards with fans in the middle. Other than that no complaints. LOL

This is why I have been saying I hate XFX from the beginning. Luckily my old 4890 was fine afterall, so I was able to sell it for $90 as a working card. Mine was reference with non-ref. cooler.

Oh, and they WERE giving out 5830's for a while for RMA'd 4890's. Then they bought back all of their 4890's that weren't selling at retailers. This is why you won't find a brand new XFX 4890 for sale anywhere other than forums and fleabay.

damn...
i think i'll start to stay away from ATi XFX.
their nvidia cards were so great tho! why did switching to AMD make them loose quality?
well, i thank you nvidia /sarcasm. great decision RAGEKICKING XFX for making ATi cards. why didnt they ragekick:
ASUS, GIGABYTE, AND MSI?
nvidia can be such a dick sometimes.

thats because of the XFX sticker!
when you turn on the card, some of the adhesive melts causing the fan to erode and finally die.
its SCIENCE PEOPLE!!!

Hi, It went into my junk email for some reason, but I did get it, those look like something memory related. Can you try slightly downclocking the memory clock and see if the problems go away? Also can you confirm the serial number for me? I need that to pull up the card information. - Erik
i said oh HELL NO!
no way im gonna take out my sexy GTX275 and GTS250, wipe drivers and SLi hack, reinstall 10.12 drivers, put in that piece of **** just to DOWNCLOCK IT!!!
like i said before, their policy was EQUAL OR BETTER not BELOW EQUAL AND DEFECTIVE!
this card is sitting in a ESD bag on my desk, and i intend it to stay there until i can send it back and they give me a better card.
they BETTER give me a nicer card. i expect a 5830 or 6850 at my doorstep after going thru all this crap.

That's a module number, lol. Batch should be on the GPU itself.

I want my second 5870 to be an XFX. Lifetime warranty FTW.

XFX said that they would give me a equal or better card with RMA.
LIES! ALL LIES!
i ended up getting some crappy card thats WORSE than my old one! completely unacceptable.
im sending their crap right back to them. no1 on this forum is stupid enough to buy this!

this is just weak XFX. ive been loyal since my alpha dog 8800GT, but this is the last straw. if i buy a 6950 or 6970 from XFX and it gives me more crap, im ditching XFX.

im RMAing this piece of crap. they better give something to make up for it. if they send me more crap then its on.
i expect AT LEAST a 5830.

no wonder people started hating XFX. this is really scarring their reputation with me.
then why do you say in your first post that you LOVE XFX? was that sarcasm? Iv stayed away from this company after reading about everyones boggles with them, and dont understand why people still continue to buy there products...if they really are as bad as people make them out to be...then the company should dissolve soon enough... stop buying their gear!

at first i wasnt sarcastic actually.
then i found out that the card is a piece of ****.
since i owned a reference card and not one of their OWN designs i though that XFX was great!
WRONG
this 4890 has the flimsyest fansink EVER, and it sucks in air from OUTSIDE and pumps heat inside! do not want.

this whole experience is really hurting their reputation from me IMO. i owned their 8800GT for years and it raped and still does (i sold it tho).
but their custom 4890 is trash. makes me wonder about the rest of their non reference products. at least their non reference ATi products.
i am staying away from XFX for a while.
at least their support is good. it better be if their cards are CRAP!
