Dedicated PhysX card

Thread Starter
Hello, I'm looking for a good Nvidia card to run as a dedicated PhysX GPU on games such as Mafia II and Batman Arkham Asylum. I don't want to spend too much on this card and preferably not too much heat/noise/power consumption. I've looked at the GTS 250 which seems like a nice choice for this. Are there any other cards you would recommend?

Thanks.

Thanks for the help. GTS 250 and GTS 450 seem to have similar pricing and benchmark results from my searches. Do you know which of these two would be better for my needs?

i guess it all depends on the price. i'd get a 450 just so it's got the latest tech/optimizations if it were priced similarly

Thanks a lot. From what I've found out the GTS 450 has significantly lower power consumption and is a lot cooler than the GTS 250. I'm not sure about the noise but I would assume the GTS 450 is also more quiet than the GTS 250.

GTS450 should be significantly better for physX then GTS250 and is good choice for that purpose imho. Although I also think one of the 'green' 9800GT's is a great choice cause they're single slot and don't use much power.
