Best smartphone on the market ATM?

I am split in between Droid X and Blackberry Bold 9650. iPhone 4 is completely ruled out so if you guys have any other recommendations please post.

I can either go with AT&T or Verizon as service provider so anything from what they offer.

well AT&T is rated the best for service and Verizion is rated best for customer service, personally i love my iphone which is the best, but if had to id still stay with AT&T because it is a better provider and more service in my area, which is something you need to think about.

Best Smartphones by Carrier:

At&t: iPhone 4
Sprint: Evo 4G
T-mobile: Nexus S, T-mobile G2
Verizon: Droid X, Droid 2

Personally I'd say go w/ Droid X on Verizon. I just ended my 2yr contract w/ At&t and the service has been horrible.

I would go with verizon and either the droid x or fascinate.Best phone's they have, if you can wait a bit you could get a dual core 4G LTE network phone in a couple of month's.

Really depends on where you live for service. In some areas AT&T is better. In some areas Verizon is a lot better. Don't be scared of the iphone 4. My dad ended up buying one and it came with a really neat case. If you have a case on your iphone, it works perfectly.

I'm really happy with my HTC Incredible. It has Android 2.2, 720p video capture and lots of roms if you wanna root it. I heard a lot of rough things about the Droid 2, but the Droid X seems interesting other than it being massive. The Incredible is just the right size for me. If you're a big guy then maybe Droid X won't seem so massive to you.

Evo if you go with Sprint.

If you wait for 4G phones, just be aware you're gonna' pay more for 4G service. If you have no problem with that, those new phones should be really powerful tongue.gif

Anyway, best of luck!

Sounds like Droid X it is. I really just need something for ultra fast texting but also able to do quick email checking and google maps.

Dont really care for streaming video or music, just need productivity features.

If you don't mind the GPS not working half the time, any Samsung Galaxy S phone is great. GS phones include the Epic 4G (Sprint), Vibrant (T-Mobile), Captivate (AT&T), and Fascinate (Verizon). They are among the fastest Android phones on the market. I just upgraded to a Captivate from an iPhone 3GS, and I'm very happy. As previously mentioned, the GPS sucks, so if you rely on that don't get one.

since i put productivity and features up front of texting masses of people, i went with the iphone4, not impressed, but i am glad i can check my emails and talk to people at the same time, which happens a lot. even a simple google maps search while on the phone with the person is really helpful and so on. so my preference is a phone that can multi task like that. sometimes people just need a quick info about something, i google it and respond immediately rather then hanging up then calling back wink.gif

but thats me personally, never used anything but gps/email/txt/call on the iphone really that much.

the droid x would in my opinion be before any berries in the market smile.gif
