Can I get a "lower prices, faster advancement" anyone? And if it proves successful, there should be no ruling out of nVidea moving into the normal desktop processor production.

Oh great...

Customer: I'd like to buy a windows please.
Sales: Sure, you want x86 or ARM version?
Customer: Um... what's the difference?
Sales: Which CPU do you have?
Customer: Um... I don't know?

Someone clear this up because it would be a nightmare to have another desktop chip that requires a different version of OS's.

Pretty sure the chitlins of the future will be playing crysis fully maxed on a PSP-like device. Hopefully they figure out how to put buttons on a handheld and don't sacrifice storage capability/comfort.

honestly I knew this was coming. Many others (including myself) though they would buy out ARM.

Looks like nvidia doesn't have scrooge McDuck money

Doubt it, they said it's for Super Computers; and Tegra 2 would be used for Mobile Gaming before this would.

No, this is for Super Computers which that market is already dominated by SPARC (Sun) & PowerPC (IBM)

To what?

ARM hasn't been used or designed like this before. They'll be the first into the field.

All the evidence is building up

I really hope they do enter the market, this will be great
Again, this is for Super Computers.

And Windows 8 will most likely only have support for ARM CPU's so people can make and sell cheap Netbook like devices that are connected via cloud computing.

Though you have to remember that even if Windows supports the ARM Architecture, that does not mean Software will as well.

The Apple A4 was designed by Apple and fabricated by Samsung. They are not making their own chips in the same way that ATi or nVidia makes their own GPU's.
Designed in house, and then they rent a fab for production.

Like I said, you're looking at two different versions of Windows here most likely.

One is for cloud computing (ARM) and the other would be for normal computers (x86)
