But yet..

I never said you where a "nub" because you don't have an i7. I only stated you lacked knowledge of computers because of the quotes above. But at any rate, like others are saying, glad your happy.

-WD is done with this thread.

Thanks.

I had two rigs. the E5200 one and the i7 one, sold off the i7 and realized I wanted just more power than the E5200

So, that's why I'm upgrading

I understand not upgrading my setup is old and has a bagged on processor which I must admit isn't great, but it gets me through with no problem, so I would say get the board first if you think it can hit the clocks you want, then since you have the board add that second 470 later, and enjoy

The 750i is the same thing as the 780i just with 2 PCI 2.0 x16's and not 3.

OLD BUILD's:

Old cooler master centurion 5 that I hacked up.. First mod ever.

Spec's:

Q6600 @ 3.2 GHZ
4GB G.Skill 1066 5-5-5-15
EVGA 750i SLI FTW
EVGA 8800GTX

Before:

Mock-up:

Paint:

So shinny..

DONE:

\\

A few months after this I bought my current case (CM-690) but kept the same hardware:

Finally updated the video card but still with Q6600.

If your mobo has two PCIEx16 slots get two GTS 450's they run as fast as a GTX 470 and use little power and are much cooler and you an OC them to 1000/1000/2000

here is a link to the cheepet ones I know of new,

Thanks man.

So now my rig has a Q6600 (hopefully at 3.6GHz), two EVGA GTX 470's and a EVGA 780i.

I'm pretty excited.
