Not to sound like a dick to that guy but some people aren't that great at math.

Why get this when you could get this for 50 dollars more?!

All retailers do stuff like this, although BB is generally one of the worst.

I got an HDMI cable made by Rosewill for 3 bucks on black friday from Newegg and I can almost guarantee it works as well as this cable.

its like you're shocked about this....
places like microcenter get software on the cheap, i know NOD32 is like $5.00 on employee discount, they sell it stand alone for 45.

gamestop pennies out game guides after a while, they originally go for 20-30, and then get pennied aka free

Basically what i'm saying is this is how retail works.
You get those items at cost, but you have to pay the employees (you), the location rent/tax/utilities, security, database, system, etc.

And this isn't "MONSTER QUALITY" or anything.. This is a chinese HDMI cable with no extra features or even excuses as to why the price is jacked up.

Pretty sad, tbh.

I almost want to cry when people come in and buy our "colored HDMI cables" for $100 a piece at 4 feet each... I've had people buy 3+ AT ONE TIME, I feel terribly sad for them.
You do know an HDMI cable is an HDMI cable. There is no difference in picture or "features" only the actual quality of the materials used to make it.

Technically not correct

I have used a HDMI 1.0 certified cable to run a 3D bluray. Explain that one to me if they are different.

As I said, technically not correct, but applied in practical terms, yes.

Maybe you got laid off for having a bad attitude, which it seems you do indeed have. I worked at BBY for a little over a year before I quit to take an internship. I knew things were overpriced. But that's how a business works. Best Buy makes very little money on video games, TVs, computers, etc. It's all about the accessories. Without the incredible markup on these products you would never have worked there because Best Buy wouldn't exist.

If people are ignorant and or too lazy to spend a little time researching the products they plan on purchasing then that is their fault.
