First time OC, BSEL mod, can my RAM support this FSB?

I have an old computer that I'm looking to beef up. The mobo is no good for overclocking, so I'm thinking of picking up some copper tape or a circuit writer pen to perform a BSEL mod on my e6300 (I've heard it can overclock pretty high on stock).
It's currently at 1.86 Ghz (1066 FSB, x7)

This seems to be what I need to do:

My RAM, however, is 4x512 MB of DDR2-533.
Do you think that it will support a FSB of 1333? I've never overclocked before, and I'm a bit confused as to how the RAM speed correlates to the FSB.

Mobo: ASUS P5BW-LA

Wait, so, I just read that you have to divide the FSB by four for Intel, so i'm actually going from 226 Mhz to 333 Mhz. And DDR2, you have to divide it by 2, so i have 226 Mhz RAM, so I'd need 333 Mhz RAM for this OC?

For 333MHz FSB you need RAM that can hit 667MHz (333 x 2)..

You`re now running 266MHz FSB CPU and 533MHz RAM (266 x 2)..

CHEERS..

Ah, thank you, so I suppose I cannot perform the mod on that chip.

I also have an e2200 (200 mhz FSB, x11), so I'd be able to take THAT chip from 200 to 266 mhz (2.93 Ghz)? with a slightly different mod:

However, the e2200 has a smaller cache. Would that make the "upgrade" not worth it?

You could do on E2200 without any problems and if mod works your E2200 would be faster than E6300 as it would run @ 1GHz higher freq than E6300..

Thank you all so much for the help -- I just did some searches and apparently the E2200 can usually hit 3 Ghz without needing to up the voltage biggrin.gif
