Corsair Obsidian 650D Mid-Tower - Page 141

I had a NZXT Evo and Coolermaster 690 and I can surely tell you THEY SUCKED in terms of space behind the mobo and putting the right side panel on.

This corsair 650d isn't GODLY in terms of space back there, but it's sufficient. I managed to fit and close my panel today after zip tie'ing everything down with ease.

Really no bulge there.I could post pics but basically you have to zip tie the 24pin down with about 3 zip ties near the top, middle, and bottom of the cord to REALLLY make sure its held down. I didn't do it before and I couldn't close the lid.

Glad I'm not the only one! I made sure not to overlap any wires.... Someone make a tutorial lol.

There's only 4 zip tie slits right?

something like that, yeah. I have ziptied a lot of wires together as well though (excess PCIe and molex wires for instance) and also ziptied all those small cables for things like power and reset buttons which helps quite a bit to keep things organised.

I think if you sat down and be very patient with the cables, you guys can get everything to fit behind the case. I know that's hard as there are times I wanted to give up and say F*k it, but I knew I had to get everything tidy so I don't have a budge. I had a huge problem before and if I can get everything to fit behind the case, anyone can. I have 6 extension cables that are about 6 inches each. Four PCI-E extensions, one 8-pin EATX, and one 24-pin motherboard extension. That's 6 extra cables I don't really need and I sat down, took a good 2-3 hours to plan where to tie the cables, and just tied it all down. I even routed the stupidly thick USB 3.0 cable, and the SATA, power cable from the portable HD bay up top to the back of the case. It's not the neatest job compared to some people's artwork in the back, but I can close the side panel without budge.

Sorry, fitting a 560 in a case without modding wins any and all arguments period. Fitting more than one is just the extra little bit no other manufacturer gives us.

On top of having all those possible 5.25" bays, a slide out mobo, space for 4 PSU's. Nope you 650D loses.

I still love my 650D, but that is just awe'ing.

Edit: wasn't suppose to be a personal attack, I rephrased it. =P
