Corsair Obsidian 650D Mid-Tower - Page 212

Another question. Sorry, but the documentation for this case is really pathetic. mellowsmiley.gif

Can anyone tell me what these are about? I know they're fan connectors, but there doesn't really seem to be anywhere for them to go. The motherboard doesn't have any place for them, and I don't really know which fans they're supposed to be connected to.

I was able to mount the H100 offcenter and further away from the mother board using holes in the grates on the top of the case. I will post some pictures later.

Well, here are the pics. In the first one you can see where I mounted the H100. The 8pin clears pretty easily.

Plug your case fans into them and then the molex into the psu and its a fan controller. the control speeds are near the hotswap. its like a little lever

Thanks, they didn't look like they fit at first.

That's pretty smart. When I did it I just used the normal 120mm holes and pushed on the 8pin until everything fit, but this works too lol.

Thanks guys. I was a little concerned that there may be some extra noise or vibration not using the standard mounting points, but no problems there. I can't believe how quite it is even with all the fans running full bore. I am so impressed with AP-15 fans so far. I will do some temp testing later.

Now I need to save up and find some time to modify this case.
Reason for asking is I want to be able to fit 2 RX240 radiators in the same fashion as a CM690ii.
My case is starting to become a little cramped and the 650D is a little larger.
Not sure if it has been done yet (2x RX240) but frozen CPU has a "Dual Loop" edition I would like to replicate.
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/14450/cst-1241/Custom_Corsair_Obsidian_Series_650D_Mid_Tower_Chassis_Liquid_Cooled_-_Dual_Loop_Edition.html

You should be able to fit a 240/280 without any real problems, you just might have to rout your cables differently. You'll need to cut too but I'm sure you knew that already.
