Are you talking about it breaking? I think that issue has been fixed... Most will recommend an aftermarket fan controller. I'm still rocking the stock fan controller and I don't see any real reason to upgrade yet.

Bitfenix fans came in today. Installed them and couldn't be happier with the stock fans gone. That front intake fan was annoying.

How to you find the BitFenix fans in terms of sound/air flow? I was going to get a 200 for the front, 2 140's for the top, and 4 120's for the rear and the heatsink (NH-D14).

I think I might just go ahead with the aftermarket controller and avoid any possible anguish. Seems like http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=35026 is a good choice. I just don't want ugly temperature sensors sticking out in the case.

I've been using the stock fan controller for a couple days now with no issues. biggrin.gif

Replaced the noisy TY-140 (whatever that was about, lol) and now everything is nice and quiet. The front Bitfenix stopped making that odd noise and is almost impossible to hear at 100%. thumb.gif I'm very happy now and have only a couple more fan configs to try mostly out of curiosity. biggrin.gif Will post some decent pics after my wife gets home with all the nice cameras. I'll post a pic from my phone in a couple minutes...

Lol, yep. thumb.gif

Has anyone used any of the Spectre Pro fans (120, 140, 200) in horizontal intake? I'm curious how the motor does noise-wise. thumb.gif

I've been using the stock fan controller for about a month and it works well for me. I turn the fans on Low when I'm browsing the web and crank them on high when playing BF3 or the like. I've decided that I will replace it, if and when it breaks.

I have a Spectre Pro 200mm up top for now. It runs nice and quiet, no complaints (didn't make any noise like my front 200 did). I just got 2 x 140mm spectre pros in the mail yesterday, just waiting on a few other pieces before I install them in the top of the case.

Hey guys, I'm thinking about replacing my Antec 300 with a 650D. You guys think it's worth it? I want to use one of Corsair's closed loop CPU coolers, and it might be better if I just swap out the case.

Ya, I was thinking of trying them to see how they do as dual intake along with the front 200mm intake. Hopefully it works out ok.

Worth it? Absolutely. I came from an Antec 902 and it looks the the Antec 300 is a similar (just smaller) chassis. The 650D is on another level. Any of Corsair's closed loops will fit perfectly. It is more visibly pleasing imo, and it has way more build space - leaving it easier to clean up your cables etc. If you have the money, I would say it is definitely worth it to upgrade to the 650D.

To sum up some points if you haven't skimmed the thread:

-Many people aren't fans of the stock fan controller, however I have had no issues with it and continue to use it.
-Front intake limited as far as fan customization.
-Great if you run air or watercooling.

Many of the new Corsair cases are brilliant, however I still prefer the 650D (lol bias) over the rest.
