Corsair Obsidian 650D Mid-Tower - Page 329

The fan controller died on my 650D this weekend. Contacted Corsair and a replacement is being sent, no questions asked. (I did provide voltage readouts to them in the initial inquiry)

I have heard good things about Corsair support and they came through for me.

Indeed, they are very good! They always reply and they stand behind their products!

They won't even ask you whether you have a 650D, they will just send you new parts (if it's something that can be replaced.) Although I doubt you will be able to do anything useful with the new parts since you don't even own this case.

What if I set the 200mm SP fan in the front as exhaust and 120mm CM in the rear as intake, would it make some difference in the airflow of the system?

i mean something like this. if you only have one blu-ray/dvd writer, a 120mm fan will fit right in your top drive bays.

putting the 200 mm fan as exhaust isnt a good idea because it is feeding air to your 6970.

if you have any foam in there, just wrap the fan with foam just like in the picture (you probably have 1/2 cm clearance on each side). you can squeeze it in the drive bays without using anything else to hold the fan in place. the foam will hold it in place and remove vibration.

I've built several of these so far. Really nice case. You can get them for a great price if you stumble across them at the right time. I personally really like the vertical swinging door on the side with the latches. My only gripe with it would be the use of large non-120/140mm fans in there and not a ton of room at the top of the case for a thick Rad Push/Pull config. Not too serious though. Honestly, like I said, great case for the money.
