plus the blue leds on that spectre pro look better now yeah?

Well yeah, I guess that also is my first attempt at case modding. biggrin.gif I'd describe the result as "close enough" since it's a bit rough around the edges and I almost started cutting in the solid front of the case.
Oh, and the LEDs do look brighter now, which is something I like. It goes well with the blue from my FC5V2 sitting above it.
Also, while on the subject of LEDs, I have managed to make the LEDs on my 120mm fan light up while making it spin using my fingers, which leads me to believe the LEDs are powered by the rotational force of the fan and not the 3-pin connector (which also explains how they are brighter, the harder the fan spins).

I noticed this when i was using a vacumn cleaner to clean my fan with the computer off, the suction made the fan spin and lit up the leds.
bit rough maybe but does the job, plus its hidden.

It's quite easy to remove, just push the tabs on the inside (there's 6 in total, 3 on each side) and pull a bit and it should come off.

its pretty durable, there are 3 plastic clips down each side behind the front panel, starting at the top gently pull them toward the outside of the case while pulling the panel forward, you may have to pull your optical drive out first.

are there different revisions of this case? mine has black screw in standoffs.

I know there was a revision to fix the fan controller issue, I'm not sure about other revisions though.

so are your standoffs round on the outside? not hexagonal?

Get some U-channel molding for a few dollars. I just got mine this morning and took a few minutes to put on and everything looks a lot better.
