Corsair Obsidian 650D Mid-Tower - Page 420

very easy!! get your 5.25 front aluminium bezel cover and with the pliers break off the plastic until you have s flat surface on your bezel
Take off your Dvd Drives bezel put on velcro command strips on the dvd drive and bezel, measure it to see the right fit,
last step super glue an eraser to the bezel so that it faces the button on your dvd drive.

it sounds confusing but its actually alot easier than it sounds if you have questions feel free to ask ill send pictures

pictures would be nice

I'm just confused on the plier's part in the process.

Would it look smooth / professionally done if i use pliers instead of a machine to cut the plastic till it's flat?

I had the same issue with my top fans that came with thier own mounting bolts. They were quite a bit thinner than traditional self-tapping fan screws, so I used #6 flat washers. For regular fan screws, you'll need to use a #8 washer.

In addition, the washers I had on hand all had a standard metal finish, so I gave them a dunk in some cold bluing to darken them up. I imagine a shot of spray paint would probably work as well.

you are aware that the top of the video card gets really hot too, right? Maybe it would be better to flip the cpu cooler 90 degrees
post #4200 of 4826
well I tested both possibilities and I had exactly the same temps.. +/- 65-68 Cdegree last temps @ my 3570k with 4ghz. the video card ist about the same..I know not the best results, but the 3570k cpus are pretty hotsheads and the system is silent
