Just an FYI guys, case is now in stock directly from Amazon, that means free shipping + zero tax.

They upped my shipping speed to 2 day shipping as a thank you for waiting since late March lolol.

I posted this in the case forums already. Still new here & didnt stumble on to this thread till after i started looking around more. I seen a post earlier now about pricing of the 650d I just hit on the site and see that directron is selling it now for $149.99 including a $10 rebate from corsair. Thats $177.76 shipped to my door. For that price I dont think one could go wrong after reading all the reviews & seeing some video reviews. But i have a question..in the details it seems it always says 1 USB 3.0 on the front panel but yet in videos & other pictures it shows 2. Is there more then 1 version of the 650d out there or am i seeing something wrong?http://www.directron.com/cc650dw1.html

Any talk out there on a better sollution on connecting usb 3.0 front panel connections? Im grabbing a 650d for a new build I hate to have them long cables running out the case. From what i can see there not internal connections on the 650d...

I just got my case and started building my new rig.. and I have to say, between this and the Corsair AX750, the packaging is phenomenal!!

The single greatest thing that has caught my attention on this case (and I know it sounds weird) is the single pin that goes up through the center of the motherboard where one of the screws normally goes. It's entire purpose is to hold the mobo in place while you screw it in. I've seriously never seen that on any case I've owned.

Haha, honestly that's probably one of my favorite upgrades. So simple and yet so much easier to build a case when you have it. We don't even really advertise it either. I guess we could come up with a trendy marketing name for it like "EZ PEG TECHNOLOGY" or something, but it's really just there to make it easier to put the board in the case.

Yeah at first, I thought it was like a defect or something and was going to have to send it back, then I realized it was perfectly inline with the hole in the motherboard.. I literally just said "wow, that's awesome"..

The problem is, it's very hard to try to describe that to someone. I swear it took me like 30 minutes to get my friend to understand what the hell I was talking about hahaha..

It's the little things..

Oh one issue I did run into, and I don't know if this is designed intentionally this way or something but, I have a 2.5" SSD that I use for OS, and I was trying to figure out where to mount it. I noticed on the HDD trays there are a set of 4 holes to mount one, but you have to mount it upside down because the peg for the 3.5" drives blocks the SSD access to the holes?! For now I have it mounted to the bottom of one of the trays and put back in upside down. I was just wondering if it was designed that way?

Well that looks like it would fix it...... Hey George anything from corsair on a different fix. I see replacement front panels for the other obsidian series for usb 3.0 & sat 6Gbs They gonna offer maybe a different panel or an upgrade kit for internal usb 3 connections, or shorter cables on the 650d??? Still looks like alot to tuck in the back panel.wink.gif
