There's no standard for doing a log.

I think every build is worth it. I even did a small log on my side-panel mod. biggrin.gif
Making a intake in the solid panel of my 650D to cool the backside of the socket.

If you do plan to make a log make your own thread and be so kind to give me the link via PM.
I am also going to do a custom loop for the first time so I can use some ideas from other builds.

First had the idea of buying a UT60 or Monsta 360 and mounting that on top of the case, probably with a rad-stand so it was flipped on its side(90 degrees).
But that will ruin the looks of the case so I will most likely stick with a 240 rad for now and add another 240 when I expand the loop to include my gpu.
240 UT60 should be plenty to cool my fx-8320 I guess.

Will do. Even if I don't do a log, I'll at least have some photos to share. wink.gif

Looks good! Nice cable management. Flat cables can be a real pita.

I just finished reading through this entire thread. Thanks so much for all the helpful information! I'm pretty certain this is the case that I want. But, I like the 550D too. I'm going single GPU and air cooling on this build.

Just a couple questions, though.

1. It's been a while since Corsair updated this case and some other Obsidian cases seem to have seen updates. Does it look like this case may get a refresh soon? I would wait for that if it might be in the works.

2. Has Corsair finally replaced the USB 3.0 pass-throughs with an internal USB 3.0 header? I know I can buy a small adapter to make them work if they haven't.

Thanks again, guys and gals!

1. 750D would be a worthy successor.

2. The 650D rev 2 should have the normal usb 3.0 header instead of pass throughs.

Thank you, UnderscoreHero.

The feet and footprint of the 750D scare me a little as I'm not sure that it will fit on my desk. I'm cramped for space at the moment.

Also, I know I can just buy a standalone hot-swap cradle, but I was really looking forward to having one built-in to the 650D. That feature is pretty much the reason I chose the 650D over the 550D.

Hopefully, I'll be able to make up my mind soon! rolleyes.gif
