All the bits I removed, top fan, fan controller, 1 drive bay and all the front panel cables except the buttons and USB2.

Great case, got 15% off from eBuyer with a voucher and no flaws etc, although I took the original fan controller out straight away so don't know if it's a noisy one or not.

I like the red theme & setup. This case makes your mobo look so small!! (great mobo tho.) I have been lazy and I still have some front panel I/O cords to pull out as I only use a couple of them.

Very nice. I need to grab some 120mm fans for mine myself.

Hi all!

After reading and viewing this entire thread I bought this stylish case too and I gotta say it's a beauty to work with. Absolutely great with the cable management, locking system and plenty of room for future mods (water cooling). I also switched the stock fans because the top fan was becoming a bit noisy and I had 2 spare Cooler Master 200mm so.. cool.gif

Although my previous case, the Cooler Master HAF 922, was cooler (about 3 degrees Celsius idle) it was also noisier, cramped and had issues with vibrations. Oh and the ugly cables were visible.

I really like this one, so mod friendly. Great job Corsair!

3 degrees difference, but it's for CPU, right? What's the difference in stress? I ask cause now I've HAF922, and I'm planning to change the case.

i also moved from a haf 922 to the 650d and i also noticed about 2~3C increase on idle on load. i only have one 140mm and three 120mm intake on the 650d versus five 120mm and one 200mm intake on the haf 922.

i have my corsair h60 as exhaust so that could be a factor with the inc in temps. i imagine that if the h60 is on intake, the temp difference would be very little between haf and 650d.

Yes, that's the cpu temp. I haven't tested the load yet.
First I want to get the idle temp down a bit by changing various fans. I switched the pull Noctua fan for a (louder) Cooler Master kind and I have won 1 degree Celsius! applaud.gif
I also changed the top 200mm fan for 2x 120mm Noctua NF-S12B..though I'm not sure if that mattered.

Currently have 1x 200mm fan blowing in and 4x 120mm fans blowing out.

But soon I'll start with 'pro' water cooling..

My CPU currently runs around 35*C idle and around 52*C when playing CSS. Ambient temp is approximately 82*F (~28*C). Has anyone tried using 2 140MM fans on top but with one fan as intake and one as exhaust? It seems like the 200MM is pulling air away from the CM 212+ and increasing CPU temp.

From what I understand, the top fans in general as exhaust is the best possible positioning, w/ an intake from the front 200mm. I definitely feel the hot air from the top of my case when it's on full blast (Antec 900).

It could also be because the 200m on the 650D are fairly weak compared to most other fans w/ the same size. Just from my research, don't own the case.

having one exhaust and one intake on the top is not a good idea since as one fan exhausts hot air, the intake fan takes the same hot air in. it may be better to have both top fans as intake running on low rpms to feed cool air the the 212+

I've switched my top 120mm fans to intake and also have a memory cooler. With both (?) I now also have a idle temp of 35 degree Celsius.

I've ordered the Black Ice GT Stealth 240 radiator. What position is 'better'? Inside or outside (on top) of the case? And how many fans would be enough to cool it?
