Corsair Obsidian 650D Mid-Tower - Page 62

Without removing metal from the bottom drive cage what are my options for a higher airflow intake fan? I looked around for other 20mm thick 200mm fans and they all seem to roughly push the same.

I bought a Sycth 140mm (mounts in 120mm) for exhaust and it works/fits great as a FYI.

Hey all! I just bought 3 nxzt fans 2x140s and 1 200. I mounted the 200mm in the front as a intake. And mounted the 2x 140s as intake as well on the top. Then removed the back exhaust completely. I read somewhere that this changes the flow to Positive pressure instead of negative and it increases airflow or something.

I tired unplugging some of the front panel connectors... And I couldn't make heads or tails of it after I unscrewed everything can someone make a guide ?

Thanks!

slip your cables trough the nearest grommet instead of using that square hole, it will look better

after removing all the screws, the front panel is still clamped together by a latch type thingy. one latch at both sides, one latch at the back and two small latches at the front. after you unlatch everything, gently lift the top portion. be careful because those latches break easily, but it is no biggie since you screw the panel back anyway.

How did you mount a nzxt 200mm fan to the front since it doesnt line up with other 200mm fans? its shorter. I had a nzxt 200 and put them on top of each other and the nzxt was shorter, like maybe 190x190.

Thats why NZXT states on their website, That compatibility is only guaranteed for NZXT cases.

Hello, I have a cube of white cold cathode. But I decided to take, it was clear, it was ugly. It's better now with just a cold cathode upon the ceiling

I'm mounting it with 3 screws only right now, and I didn't mount using all the holes in corsairs cases either. What I did was i removed the whole front plate. Then took off the stock fan. Tried to line up the Nxzt, said **** *** the holes dont match up. Then i noticed if I moved the fan a bit down I can mount it using the mesh in the case . I mounted the 2 at the top using the mesh holes and some rubber feet for the screws that came with the 650D. I then found that the bottom left hole some hoe lined up with the bottom left corsair mounting hole. So i screwed that one in too 3/4 screws with rubber feets fan does not move at all. Sorry for the wall of text I'll post pictures later when I try to remove some of these front panel connectors.

Edit: these nzxt fans are loud... 166 cfm 200m and like 62 cfm for the 140s on top all as intakes

tinkering around with my 650D, and i notice

THE BACK FAN IS ABSOLUTELY USELESS!!!

its pushes very, very little air, even on max, going to change it out soon, i feel like my NH-d14 exhaust air is being, i guess you could say, bottlenecked by the back fan

Indeed the rear exhaust is pretty poor. I replaced the rear fan immediately with a GT AP-14, which are great when there is significant obstruction like a radiator or the rear exhaust grill. I may get the dremmel out and cut that rear grill off at some point, and just stick a simple fan guard there.
