Mine had scratches already when i bought it frown.gif. Gonna go to window shop, and cut there custom plexi window with 1-2 120mm fan holes (good quality plexi glass so it wont scratch easily).

Got today also 3x 1150rpm Gentle Typhoons (putting em back and top + Silverstone 180mm Air penetrator (Front intake). Its pretty easy to make air penetrator fit to front, have nice idea that i will drill wholes directly to the fan "casing" (next to the original screw holes) so i dont need to drill my case.

Will post some pics after i have "modded" air penetrator and installed gentles biggrin.gif At work now.

Waiting for this! I wanna change all the stock fans and I can't find something for front intake(so I don't need to mod the case.....yet;)). Almost every fan is 30mm thick and it won't fit.
What are the dimentions of the 180mm Air Penetrator?

Waiting for the pics...wink.gif

if this is that AP fan, it wont fit (without removing the hdd cage). it is listed on newegg as 32mm http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835220039

Here it is... Silverstone air penetrator fitted to front without modifying the case (apart from moving HDD cage (dont use that much HDD´s anyway). Sorry for the greyscale pic, my flash on this old canon **** ups pics, so its better greyscale biggrin.gif Also installed 3x 1150rpm Gentle´s (back and 2 top).

SGnV9.jpg

Results are impressive, got like 5c drop in temperatures on CPU (about 50c in games biggrin.gif) Also GPU load temps dropped about 7c (played couple hours of Deus Ex: Human revolution and max temps were 57c. One thing i noticed that front airfilter panel raises temps by 2-3c (air penetrator blows ****loads of air when its away, but it blows air with it like 5 times more than the stock biggrin.gif). Very nice results ! Well spend money.

How thick is the Silverstone fan? Do the mounting holes lineup?

Nope, you need to drill your case or the fan casing to get it fit. I drilled 4 more holes to the fan casing (next to the original holes) and it fit nice.

Yes, but the result is a factor from various sides...

The 2 upper Noctuas are amazing for intake, AP121 is also amazing but a little bit louder than noctuas, Gentle thyphoon 1850RPM... dont have words for it, but i also think that here in Barcelona ambient temps now are not so hot like when i received the D-14.

I will end with an H100 the the future, for sure, maybe next summer, or H120 or 140 XD
