Corsair Obsidian 650D Mid-Tower - Page 82

That's too bad. Your cpu cooler is a pretty good unit. It gets good reviews. Do you think there's something wrong with it, or maybe it needs to be reinstalled?

I was thinking check the TIM application. Maybe too much was used?

That could be. Sometimes too much TIM can be as bad as not enough.

I'm using IC7, I tried application three times, different amounts, and two positions, I may retry again but it idles at 42C with around 20C. My GPU is cooler than my CPU!

Maybe try a different cooler and see if it makes a difference? I don't see what could be wrong with such a simple design. Maybe try your cooler in another system?

This has been bothering me for quite awhile. My side panel with the window does not appear to be flushed with the front panel. This is the same with my back side panel. Does anyone else have this problem? Wish I have a camera to show you guys this.

That looks like zip ties to me as well.

One thing I did was that I emailed Noctua CS to ship me their 120mm to 140mm adapter clips that come with the Noctua 140mm fans. It was easy for me since I have a NH-D14, but if you have not bought any of their products, you can try begging. Other then that, you can make your own by using wood.

Has anyone tried the Bitfenix Spectre 230mm (not the 200mm) in the 650D's intake? I'm still searching for the perfect fan with good airflow that doesn't have the annoying noise level of the Corsair 200mm. I'd prefer one that doesn't make me move the drive cage (I know this won't happen with the Bitfenix, but still want to know) but I haven't found one yet that does what I want for the front (I have a Megaflow on top).
