If it is a 200mm fan, then you just need to move the hard drive rack to the position closer to the power supply in order to get clearance for the fan.

Ok i'll try it out.

EDIT: see this post http://www.overclock.net/computer-cases/1132687-solved-corsair-650d-shaking-noise.html

EDIT 2: this was the thingy i was talking about http://www.corsair.com/pc-cases/corsair-computer-case-accessories/obsidian-series-650d-fan-adapter-kit.html

I think it is just the air blowing though. Like the stock fan is just normally loud.

Considering I still have warranty on my psu, I'll keep it like this for now. I added a silicon noise absorber under it.
So in my liquid cooling system with fans and processor on idle the loudest thing is the psu. laugher.gif

Congrats! It is a great case. biggrin.gif

You could try just adding some rubber washers between the fan and the case.

What's the point of a warranty if you don't use it? 1000W PSUs are not cheap. Get it RMAd. That's a horrible noise and I couldn't handle it for five minutes.

Just send your video to the PSU manufacturer. I bet they will tell you to RMA it.

well im now an owner of an 650D...just wish i was a proud owner frown.gif

this case sadly has some issues upon taking it out of the box....first thing is the front bezel had like 3 decent scratches in the aluminum and a couple on the drive bay doors and it also had 2 nicks on the aluminum...no idea how they got there but were there as soon as i took off the protective film...so much for it actually protecting it

so i put a ticket in with corsair to have it replaced...but the fun didnt stop there...i ended up going out and running some errands before i sat down to actually transfer parts over to it...i took off the side panels...the one with the window was in good shape...the one without a window was bent to hell...it doesnt sit flush with the front or the back and it bowed in the middle and if you press on it it makes that nice metal pop sound

so as i moved the case around to start routing the cables i noticed it wasnt sitting even on my desk...figured it was just sitting on something...checked under it...nothing...so i moved it out to the kitchen table...still wasnt sitting right...so took it back to my desk...put the side panels and front bezel back on and noticed it had a little wobble to it...the whole case is tweaked and is sitting uneven

those are just the major issues with my new 650D...there are other minor issues like how loud the front fan is or my little fan controller not fitting...but i can fix or even over look those issues...but how in the world does a case get so beat up? well ill be calling Corsair in the morning and see what they recommend i do...if i should RMA it or what

i was really looking foward to using this case...its a beautiful case and very big....just has too many issues to be considered a good quality case

TL;DL- new 650D has scratched front bezel, bent side panel and sits uneven and wobbles like a broken leg on a chair

Sounds like you got the one bad unit that should have never made it out of the factory. frown.gif Hope the RMA goes well. thumb.gif

`Well, I swapped out the stock 200mm fans and have the top 200 blowing air in and the noise levels dropped and the temps lowered as well. smile.gif I'm going to see what the temps are like with the top fan blowing air out.

Here they are as is.

attachment.php?attachmentid=233765&stc=1&d=1318594383

Fan config.

Also, anyone have recommendations for a "silent" 120mm fan for the rear exhaust? I am looking at 2 of these 140mm for the top. And I am getting one of these for the front.

And Freeky, I hope it works out for you. frown.gif

Turns out warranty was for different CM PSU doh.gif So eventually I just changed the fan (Scythe Gentle Typhoon) and added some rubber strips.

@SeanWebster Noctua NF-P12 or Scythe Gentle Typhoons are very silent

wow are air temps horrible with this case!

in my old scout...cpu would idle in the low 30's and load in games in the high 40's low 50's...with this 650D it idles about 36-38 and load in games in the low 60's...that in my opinion is a big difference with just a change of cases

and thats not even talking about my poor little gpu....it used to idle 38-40 and while browsing the net it would hit like 45 if i were watching youtube or something with a lot of flash...in crysis 2 it would load up to about 60-62....now it idles at 44-47 and hits 70 in crysis 2 on extreme graphics

so not only did this case have some defects from the factory but its a horrible air cooler at least for my build...but i sorta knew it wasnt the best for air cooling going into it...just didnt know it was that bad

i guess i just got unlucky on this case...sad really...such a beautiful case and i can see its well made (except for mine) to be such a let down
