Motorola has just outed its delicious Honeycomb tablet alongside another device, the LTE-equipped Bionic, on its official site. The company's CES press conference is ongoing right now, where the Xoom will presumably get its proper announcement.

Just needs a price tag (w/o contract, I'm gonna guess $800), more info on battery life (10 hours video playback is not overly descriptive), and a release date. Looks like an iPad dressed in black, but the interface looks nice.

I agree, need more info. Shouldn't take long, they are trying to release within 3 months. As for price, I'm going to say ~$700-$730 no contract+3G. That's what Apple sells their 32G 3G iPad for.

Sadly, to me, this looks like Google priced themselves out of the mass market with this. Needs multiple versions like a cheap 16Gb wifi only/16Gb 3G tablet. Most likely, companies that do offer that will get most of the android tablet market.

Not Google...Motorola. Google is laughing all the way to the bank every time a new tablet running Android comes out, regardless of what it is.

Seems silly to only offer one version of something that could easily be made into different SKUs. 32GB is nice but I agree, there should be a entry model 16GB wi-fi only like you said. Personally, that's what I would be interested in because I don't need or want another 3G/4G device besides my cell phone.

I just hope people aren't dumb enough to but these on contract but I'm sure it'll happen.

good lord.
10 hours of video.
Even if it was low res video, wouldn't that just make non-video (email checking etc) last for days?

They might consider a .GIF to be a video

Good point, Motorola then .

You can make video playback take up very little juice if you want. However, the iPad does give similar battery specs and people are always (rightly so) raving about the battery life on that thing. Let's hope this one compares.

"You have the horsepower of 2ghz processing capacity." - 2nd video @2:15

I'm excited for honeycomb though. Looks like an actual step forward instead of a trendy phone that has apps.

Looks great but still sticking with my iPad. I hope by the end of the year there will be enough android tablet apps to rival iPads. Once this happens I'll switch over from the dark side.
