[Engadget] Motorola Xoom becomes official, headed to Verizon in Q1, upgradeable to 4G - Page 2

Perhaps they are trying to offer the 32GB version cheaper than the other 32's on the market and scrapping any lower models to stay focused on a single product with the hopes that people will upgrade from another brand's 16GB for their 32GB.

I love the look of the Droid OS on this thing. Motorola did a good job polishing that up and making it sexy.

From what I've heard (my friends dad works at a corporate office at Motorola [not gonna say his position but he knows people and was pretty high up there]) the pricing should be a bit below or even with that of the iPad.

If they can price the 32Gb with the 16GB tablets, more power to them

Motorola didn't touch the OS, this is the Stock Google tablet. Think Nexus. Also, Droid isn't an OS, it's a phone line

I have a question about Xoom's HDMI!

Will we be able to convert Xoom into a monitor? Like plugging in a Xbox/PS3 or a PC.

Most likely not. The HDMI output on devices like these are Output only. Just think of it as a little computer with a screen.
