I love my D14 as well. True, it doesn't cool quite as well (by at most a degree) as a SA, but I love it. I have put a TY-140 in it, and soon I will start my runs, have a sort of Well Dressed D14. Then I'll know about noise and performance.

Oh ye SA, Archon and TRUE lovers, could you please measure the thickness of your contact block? I'm thinking that a Silver Arrow with a Noctua mount would be a kick-@$$ cooler.

Im going to be buying the thermax II. You can't beat top end performace with low end price. Direct touch, comes with 2 fans, can fit in most cases unlike the others...A gem.

That being said, If I could chose any it would be the Archon with push/pull. double the price though, only a few degs difference

I voted for the Noctua.

When I was shopping around for an air-cooler I ended up with 2 choices, the Silver Arrow or the NH-D14.

In all honesty it was kinda "6 of one, 1/2-dozen of another" insofar as overall performance, so I went with the Noctua as I have had great experiences in the past with their products.
