FedEx tracking

Thread Starter
I ordered a pair of headphones from eBay on December 26. The seller used FedEx Ground to ship the package. It is now January 5th and the package apparently has not moved a single inch from the FedEx facility in Keasbey, New Jersey, and the package is supposed to arrive tomorrow. I know that FedEx, UPS and all the other shipping companies don't ship on New Year's eve/day, but has it really not moved in a week? Or does FedEx just not update its tracking?

It's likely that the seller never shipped it out.

I'm pretty sure that the seller shipped out the package - the tracking page says the package was received by FedEx on the 29th of December. The seller was Beach Camera, which I believe is a rather big company

If it doesn't arrive by tomorrow, I'll be sure to call them up and ask what's going on.

Hopefully that is the case.

I just received a package through NewEggs egg saver shipping. I ordered it on the 28th of Dec. and it was still showing as being in Ohio and I live in Kentucky. This happens every time I order something and it comes egg saver instead of regular UPS. Maybe with the busy holidays FexEx is slacking on their updates. Either that or maybe you got burned?

I'm not that familiar with Fedex but sometimes with USPS it will stay at "accepted" at the location of shipping all the way until the day after it is delivered, and then it will be updated with all of the stops and the delivery. I would call tomorrow anyway and ask, it couldn't hurt.

I went and checked up the tracking page one more time just a minute ago, and now the package has magically resurfaced in Sacramento, which is around two hours drive away. I guess they were just being lazy with updating it.

I'm not sure if FedEx ground has a guaranteed maximum time before arrival, but I do believe that I was using FedEx and they had said 7 days maximum. According to the tracking, 6 days later it hadn't budged from the warehouse. The next day it had arrived at my house. Either they don't update or they forget and ship it over using next day tongue.gif

It's FedEx ground, the package does not go through any sort facilities as it's being transported on a tractor trailer. There is no way to update the tracking while it's on a truck and it's updated when it arrives at a facility close to it's delivery destination where it's sorted and scanned for tracking updates.

Not to mention there was also a blizzard on the east coast this past week.
